Christmas is creeping closer every day, and even if November seems too early to be thinking about any festivities yet, it probably is the perfect time to start getting a plan together. This goes for presents, Christmas dinner and especially the office Christmas party!
Step 1: Don’t go overboard
The first step to throwing an office Christmas party is to not go too overboard, as this will most likely become an annual thing and you want to be able to improve upon your party throwing year upon year and not give away all your best surprises in the first year. Just throw a few Christmas decorations together and order some food and alcohol and it will surely be a great time.
Step 2: Invite everyone
As this is a work Christmas party, you need to invite everyone. We may have office besties, but an office party must include everyone. If you have room, allow people to bring plus ones so they won’t feel awkward showing up alone.
Step 3: Budget
Most office parties have a budget, so stick to it. Your budget needs to include Christmas decorations, Christmas lights, artificial Christmas trees, and lots and lots of food and drink.
Step 4: Enjoy
Christmas is a time for joy and laughter, so if you have good company and an excuse to let your hair down, take advantage of your time off work, appreciate your handiwork and have a great time drinking and dancing!
