How to create a Christmas gift hamper

Every year it can become that much more difficult to think of presents to buy people, and we often spend money on things that we don’t need or our loved ones may never use.

One idea that has become more popular underneath artificial Christmas trees across the world is the Christmas gift hamper. In many ways, it’s the gift that keeps on giving, as it can be so much fun to unwrap and see what treasures it holds. The following is a guide on how to create a thoughtful Christmas gift hamper.

What you need

First of all, you need the basis of the hamper which will hold all of the goodies. Wicker baskets are great for this use and can be found in many shops. You will also need tissue paper to pad the inside and hide the treats within, as well as plastic wrap for the outside if you desire.

What to put inside

This is where you can get as creative as you like. A hamper filled with all sorts of chocolate treats is great for a chocolate lover, for example, or a gin lover would enjoy opening a hamper filled with different flavoured gins.

More ideas

If you don’t want to focus on one type of gift, a hamper can be filled with all sorts of treats. Appropriate for the time of year, sauces, cakes or biscuits can fill a good hamper. Alternatively, help out a loved one with a gift hamper full of necessities such as milk, eggs, and bread.
