The key to bringing different bird species to your garden is to vary the types of food you offer.
For example, mealworms are a diet staple for many UK birds. Here are three birds that you should see from your Supremo Palermo furniture if you put out mealworms.
Robins
The robin is among the most beloved of our garden birds. Robins are popular because they are gregarious birds that are not afraid of humans – plus, their red chests are appealing to look at. If you provide a steady supply of mealworms, you are all but certain to bring robins to your garden, because they love them. Use a ground feeder or feeding tray for best results.
Blackbirds
Blackbirds are another type of UK bird that will be drawn to your garden by mealworms. This is particularly true when they have young chicks. Mealworms are full of protein, so they provide chicks with vital energy. Something to remember though is that blackbirds are ground feeding birds. Therefore, you will need to scatter some mealworms on the lawn.
Blue tits
Blue tits will bring beautiful colours and cheery song to your garden. These lively little birds have white face feathers, yellow ones on their chests and bright blue head feathers that resemble caps. Although they typically favour woodland areas, blue tits will come to your garden if there are mealworms. They are happy to take them from bird feeders or tables.
Putting out some dried or live mealworms will be great for birds – and for bird watchers too!
