If you’ve got your garden set up ready for the summer, complete with Supremo bari garden furniture, you might also be thinking of doing a spot of bird watching. Bird watching can be relaxing and actually helps your garden thrive, so it’s important to make it as welcoming as possible for them. The following are a few of the most common birds that may visit your garden and what you can do to help them.
Robin
In the 60s, the robin was declared Britain’s national bird, so it is very commonly seen in British gardens. It is still a delight to spot a robin, and you can keep them coming with sunflower hearts, suet sprinkles, and oats. It also loves worms so keep your soil fresh.
Blackbird
Not all blackbirds are actually black. The females are brown, and you may spot some white ones. However, no matter the colour, a blackbird does love a worm like many other birds but can be enticed with extra mealworms, oats, and dried fruit.
Blue tit
The blue tit has a significant voice, and is a welcome sight with its blue, white and yellow feathers. Suet nibbles and peanuts will make sure this bird visits often, which also help with pest control as they do like to eat insects too.
Wren
This tiny brown bird is also quite vocal, and will visit your garden often and make its nest nearby if you provide oatmeal, peanuts, and breadcrumbs.
