Tips for watering your plants properly

One task that every keen gardener has to do is water the plants – but there is a method to doing so properly. If you want to have healthy and attractive plants to gaze at from your Lifestyle garden furniture, keep reading.

Why should you water them?

This part is simple – you need to water the plants to help them grow. This applies to all types of plants in every kind of situation; from ones in garden beds to those in pots and hanging baskets.

When should you water them?

One factor you may not realise is that there are certain times of the day that are best for watering. The ideal time to do it is either at the very start of the morning or during the early evening. This is because the water is much less likely to evaporate before it reaches the roots of the plants.

How should you water them?

The best way to water your plants is to pour the liquid into the earth where the plants have their base. This way, it will travel down to their roots – the part that needs the water most. Many gardeners believe they should sprinkle their plants with water every day, but this is not the case. It will be far more effective to water them every two or three days. When you do, you should give each of them a good soaking.

If you follow these few simple tips, you will soon start to see the effect on your plants.
