Three tips for protecting your garden furniture from the weather

We may be getting near to the end of the winter, but that is no guarantee of good weather if you live in Britain. Sadly, our springs and summers are often just as wet – albeit with some sunshine sprinkled occasionally. You will want to get out and enjoy your Supremo Barcelona garden furniture on the sunny days, but how can you protect it when the weather gets bad?

Store your furniture inside

Keeping the furniture inside on days when it is not being used is one way to protect it. Of course, you can only do that if you have the space available.
Either a garage or a shed will work and will prevent the furniture being damaged by rain, wind or harsh sunlight. Make sure there are no leaks or damp before you put the garden furniture in, however.

Purchase covers

Buying something to put over your garden chairs and tables can be another option. You can get items like Garland garden furniture covers that are completely waterproof; they will keep the rain from rotting or rusting your furniture, and can shield it from UV rays too.

Apply protective coating

If your garden furniture is made of either metal or wood, you can get protective coatings for it. Most outdoor chairs and tables are manufactured with some form of protective layer, but this can wear away over time. Make sure you buy the right sort and read the instructions carefully.

Follow these tips to keep your furniture in great condition this year.
