There is not much point in having a garden if you do not get outside and make the most of it during the summer. Keep reading for ideas on having fun in the garden with your family while the sun is shining.
Watch wildlife
Let us start with a nice and easy one – sitting outside with a cold drink and watching the wildlife.
Get your Norfolk Leisure Life garden furniture out of storage and see what you and your family can spot. From birds and bees to butterflies, there are all manner of things to look out for. You could even turn it into a game by awarding points.
Decorate paths
If your garden has at least one paved pathway, you and your family could have fun decorating it. The only things you will need are some sticks of coloured chalk – plus a bit of imagination of course. Given the typical British weather, your creations will only be temporary, but that is a plus point. It means you can start again on another day.
Construct hedgehog houses
This will be fun, but it will also be helpful to these endangered animals. Constructing a hedgehog house from scratch may sound difficult, but it is not really. You can use bits of spare wood for it, but make sure to add a narrow tunnel alongside the main chamber, as this will keep predators out. When it is finished, choose a shady place for it.
Why not try some of these ideas this summer, to really enjoy your garden!
