You’ve just finished your Christmas dinner, perhaps you’ve enjoyed a glass of wine or two and you find yourself sorely tempted to doze off in the soft, hypnotic glow of the fairy lights – or, you could keep the fun going with some party games for all the family. Here are three suggestions that will keep both the oldest and youngest amused:
Paper plate challenge
The aim of the game here is to draw a festive object or scene on a paper plate. While it may sound easy, there’s a catch – you have to draw with the paper plate on your head.
Christmas film quiz
Split into teams and have each team pick a favourite Christmas film. The other teams will ask questions about the film, from cast members to plotlines, and the team who knows the most about their chosen film wins. You might want to enlist some internet help to avoid arguments, though.
Marshmallow fight
If we’re lacking in the white Christmas department this year, you could recreate a snowball fight with some marshmallows. Perhaps not one for the particularly house-proud or chaos averse, but you can always wrap up warm and take the fun to the garden. However, make sure to leave some to eat later!
There are scores of other games you can play, including variations of standard party games adapted to a more festive theme to keep the party atmosphere alive. Get creative and have some fun this Christmas.
