Festive wreaths are among the most popular Christmas decorations. Something about them just sums up the season in the same way as Christmas trees.
For them to be really effective though, they need to be hung in the right places. This blog will give you some ideas for this.
Outdoor places
There are several places where you can hang a festive wreath outdoors. Perhaps the most obvious one is on your front door, where it will provide the ideal Christmas welcome for visitors. Try to hang it at a level that meets the eye and select a wreath that is 50-75% as wide as your door.
A second great outdoor spot for hanging your Christmas wreath is on a window. If you want to achieve a balanced and symmetrical look, why not hang them on both downstairs windows? Either double-sided sticky tape or suction cups will keep them in position.
Indoor places
Putting up at least one wreath indoors too will enhance the interior festive feel. Again, doors are a popular choice, with many choosing to hang their wreath on the inside of the front door. Living room or bedroom doors will work just as well though.
Another idea is to hang a wreath in the hallway, so guests see it when they first enter. A table, a shelf or a coat hook will all be suitable places for hanging it. Finally, you could consider framing a mirror or a painting with a wreath.
This should give you some ideas to think about as we head into the festive season.
