Once the choice has been made, it’s time to think about planting. The best spot is one that will provide plenty of sunlight and soil that is fertile. For spring planting, pots will be better than garden beds if you want them to be ready for summer. Give the soil time to warm up, and then make sure you have the crown level with the surface of the soil. If you put it in deeper than that, it may rot.
