Everyone is looking for a way to save money this Christmas, especially as prices for everything are rising. Luckily, there are still ways you can celebrate all of your beloved Christmas traditions this year without breaking the bank.
Christmas decorations: use pre-lit Christmas trees
As energy bills are rising, you don’t need to buy lots and lots of Christmas lights to create a festive atmosphere. Pre-lit Christmas trees are great because they provide that festive glow and you don’t have to bother with sorting out wires from metres and metres of Christmas lights.
Exchanging presents: buy smaller gifts
Just because gifts are smaller, doesn’t mean they aren’t as good. You can buy some lovely small gifts for loved ones and they will still appreciate being thought of, even if this is a box of their favourite chocolates or a bottle of wine.
Christmas dinner: buy less and use an air fryer
When it comes to Christmas dinner, the first thing to do is cut down on how much you buy as you always end up with leftovers. The second thing to do is use an air fryer. They may be expensive initially but save you having to use the gas for the hob or switch the oven on for long periods.
Family time: trade the pub for your living room
You can still spend quality time with family at home if you think the pub might be a bit too expensive this year. After all, you have all your Christmas decorations at home so you might as well enjoy them!
