Festive flip cup
Split the guests into two separate teams and line them up across a table. Give everyone a beverage of their choice, whether that’s a Christmas-inspired cocktail or soft drink.
Each player takes a turn to try to finish their drink quicker than the person opposite. Once finished, they put the cup on the table edge and flip it, which is the signal for the next person along in their team to start. The winning side is the first to finish all their drinks.
Christmas storyteller
Form a circle and then choose a guest to start the game. He or she must begin telling a Christmas story by providing an opening sentence. Then, the person next to them has to repeat that sentence before adding their own.
The game continues in that fashion as the story builds, with players knocked out when they forget details. The last person able to remember the whole story is the winner.
Gift wrap
This is a funny and physical game where guests are sorted into pairs, with the right hand of one tied to the left hand of the other. Each duo must try to wrap a present with just their untied hands. Set a five-minute time limit, with the winner being the team that has the best wrapped gift.
