No BBQ is really complete without a dessert to round off the meal – especially if children are involved. You might think that grilling is strictly for the savoury, but you would be wrong. Here are some delicious BBQ-friendly sweet treats that will have your guests salivating as they laze on the Supremo Tuscany furniture.
Chocolate baked bananas
This mix of chocolate and fruit is quick and easy to grill. All you need is four bananas, two bags of chocolate buttons and vanilla ice cream. Fire up your grill and then slit the bananas down one side – with the skins still on. Slip the chocolate buttons into the slits and then put the bananas onto foil sheets, crimping the edges to seal them. Grill for around 25 minutes and then serve with ice cream.
Strawberry and marshmallow kebabs
Kebabs are a BBQ staple – but why not give the idea a twist by making them sweet instead of savoury? You can make these easily, with around 16 strawberries and 20 marshmallows.
Begin by putting four strawberries and five marshmallows onto metal skewers. Then, just toast them on your grill, making sure to turn them for even toasting.
You can also drip some caramel on top for extra flavouring.
Grilled pineapple with rum and black pepper
This is both sweet and spicy. Get started by rolling your pineapple in a mix of sugar, chilli and pepper, before adding butter to the top. Then, grill for half an hour, before adding rum cream.
Each of these recipes will work wonderfully at your next BBQ.
