Mother’s Day is all about those special gestures. Why not surprise Mum with breakfast in bed using Ian’s delicious recipe. You can get all the main ingredients from our Speciality Food department to make it an extra special treat!
Ingredients:
2oz of Black Pudding or half a bury, cubed*
2 rashers of Bacon, diced*
1 Free Range Egg, poached*
2-3 floz Double Cream
1 slice of White Bloomer Bread*
A few strands of Chives
* Ingredients can be found in our Speciality Food department (Black Pudding & Bacon from Whieldons, White Bloomer from Born & Bred)
Sauté bacon and black pudding in a pan until crisp then add double cream and reduce until thick.
Add chopped chives and place on top of toasted bloomer bread. Top off with a poached egg.
Top Tip: Arrange a pretty tray with a sprig of spring flowers and serve up Ian’s dish. Accompany it with her favourite cup of tea and a magazine or book so Mum can relax for a while. As an extra treat why not leave a beautifully wrapped gift on the tray – she’ll be delighted!
