The UK may not have the best climate, but we still attract plenty of brightly coloured birds.
Below are some of the most beautifully shaded species that you can watch out for from your Lifestyle garden furniture.
Great spotted woodpecker
This bird has distinctive black, white and red colouring, with its bright crimson crown marking it out clearly. Great spotted woodpeckers are very fond of peanuts and suet, so adding those to your feed options should help attract them to your garden.
Goldfinch
This little bird has feathers that are a spectacular mix of golden yellow, black, white, brown and red. It is widely considered to be among the loveliest UK garden birds to look at, but you’ll have to pay attention, as they’re very quick. Put sunflower hearts in your feeders to attract them – and be sure to buy some binoculars!
Bullfinch
A bullfinch can easily be picked out of the crowd by its chest feathers. They are a glorious deep pink and stand in stark contrast to the white and black shading of its head and wings. Bullfinches like to eat berries from guelder and honeysuckle plants, so putting those in your garden may help to entice them.
Blue tit
This is another small bird with lovely coloured feathers. Blue tits have bright blue and white head feathers, blue wings and yellow chest feathers. They are also easy to encourage to your garden.
Feeders containing sunflower hearts will attract them, but be sure to have some binoculars to hand. That way you can fully appreciate their beauty.
