As advent looms ever closer and the fairy lights pop up, the festive fair calendar is filling up too, giving those based on the Wirral plenty of things to do in the run-up to Christmas. Here are a few ideas to keep you busy into winter:
1. Christmas Craft Fayre, Neston Civic Hall
Sunday, 24th November, 12pm – 4pm
A great range of stalls offer visitors the chance to find some truly special festive gifts, many of which are handmade and locally sourced.
2. Wirral Holistic Care Services Christmas Fayre, Grosvenor Ballroom, Wallasey
Saturday, 30th November, 12pm – 4pm
This annual fayre includes a Christmas Grotto, giving those with kids in tow the chance to meet Father Christmas. Other attractions include refreshments and a tombola, as well as stalls selling books, crafts, jewellery and toys.
3. Christmas Craft Fayre, Hoylake Community Centre
Saturday, 30th November, 12pm – 4pm
On the same day, Hoylake Community Centre will play host to over 30 stalls, giving you the chance to find some unique, locally-made gifts.
4. Christmas Crafts Day, Amber Button, Birkenhead
Saturday, 7th December, 10:30am – 3:30pm
If you’d rather make your own gifts that buy them, then this fun-filled day out might be for you. The ticket cost includes refreshments and lunch as well as all the tools, equipment and materials you will need. A first craft session takes place in the morning, followed by another in the afternoon.
5. Christmas Craft Fayre, Thornton Hough Village Hall
Sunday, 8th December, 12pm – 4pm
The place to be for 30 or more stalls selling candles, ceramics, plants and other local goods and one-off Christmas gifts.
