What are the current trends in the BBQ world?

In every sphere of activity, there are trends that come and go – although the most popular ones tend to stick around for longer. This blog will take a look at some of the trends that are currently taking the BBQ world by storm.

Low and slow grilling

Fast food is out in the BBQ world – it is all about the low and slow grill these days! This means setting it to low temperatures and letting the meat take its sweet time while you sit back with a beer on your Supremo Carina furniture. Surveys have found that 41% of BBQ fans in the UK opt for low and slow grilling now, compared with 28% in the past.

International cuisine

The modern BBQ man or woman is not satisfied with simple steaks, burgers or chicken. What they want is something a bit more exotic and international. They are choosing options like Korean cuisine for grilling and adding spices from the Middle East to season their food. International options are favoured by 43% of the BBQ fraternity.

Charcoal grilling

For a while, it looked like gas BBQs would take over from charcoal ones, but that now seems a lot less likely. 72% of BBQ fans have told surveys that charcoal is what they prefer, which is surely due to the unique smoky flavour that it provides. Just as long as you don’t mind cleaning the grill after the meal is finished!

Now you have an insight into the latest trends in the world of BBQ food – will you follow them?
