One of the many positives about artificial Christmas trees is the variety of styles they come in. You are not restricted to just the basic green tree – you can get one that is frosted to look like it has been in a snow shower. But how should you decorate a tree of that type? Read on for tips.
Add warm colours
If you want to achieve a classic festive tree look, you should balance out the white of the tree with warm coloured decorations. This means choosing baubles, ribbons and tinsel in shades like red, gold and green. Do not overdo it though, as the point of snow Christmas trees is to show off that effect.
Place the baubles with care
When you are putting the baubles on the tree, do not just add them at random. Try to apply a proper system to the job. Larger baubles should ideally be placed towards the back – nearer to the tree trunk. That will give more depth to the appearance. Smaller ones should be placed nearer the front, but with even distribution.
Hang the ribbon near the top
If you are putting a ribbon on your tree, it should be draped towards the top. Then, you should weave it between the branches to create a billowing effect. If you are using tinsel, aim to hang it from the branches in clear rows from top to bottom.
Just follow these few handy tips and your frosted Christmas tree will make for the perfect centrepiece to your festive decorations.
